Early Years
EARLY YEARS is a venture which has been initiated by Sonali Shivlani an ante-natal and lactation specialist. It is a support and information group for parents who are pregnant till five years and beyond. It is probably one of its kind in Mumbai as it provides a forum for new parents to interact with each other both personally and online.
The Early Years Venture has two programs:
- Meeting once in two months. We bring in specialists from different fields who will talk about topics relevant to mums and babies in the first 2 years of life. Babies are welcome at these sessions as we understand that for new mums it is not possible to leave the baby home at times. We are also planning to introduce another meeting every alternate month which will be attended by mothers only and every meeting will focus on a different topic related to infants, toddlers and new parents. All meeting details are posted on our online support group.
- Online support group. This is a group on Face Book which has parents of zero to five years. The aim is to share information, post queries, and in general form an Indianised Support group. We will be posting details of Early Years Events, product reviews by mums, professionals answering queries as well as other mums answering queries and much more.
