Welcome to the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association - CAPPA - India ! For over a decade, CAPPA's mission has been to offer comprehensive, evidence-based education, certification, professional membership and training to childbirth educators, lactation educators, labor doulas, antepartum doulas and postpartum doulas. CAPPA is proud to provide new and expectant families access to these professionals here.
CAPPA - India is headed by Sonali Shivlani who is a certified Child Birth and Lactation Educator. Sonali Shivlani has been running pregnancy classes and post natal programs in Mumbai, India for the last 6 years and has worked with more than 2000 couples.
CAPPA - India - Mission
CAPPA certified professionals aim to empower, connect and advocate for families in the childbearing year. CAPPA seeks to forge positive and productive relationships between organizations that support healthy, informed family choices. The international organization consists of a leadership board, regional representatives, trainers, mentors, advisors and its membership. CAPPA is the most comprehensive pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum organization available.
The Indian Chapter of the organization will aim to bring childbirth professionals to every part of the Indian sub-continent. Pregnancy, childbirth and the post-natal period is one of the most important in the family life cycle and we believe that with the right support it can be an enjoyable and enriching experience.
